How Kingdom Sushi Uses Toast to Scale Efficiently

Location

Florida

Discover how a fast-growing sushi brand standardized operations, streamlined service, and supported expansion across seven locations with Toast.

Kingdom Sushi opened its first location in 2019 and has since grown to seven restaurants, with more in development. Operating in a high-volume, all-you-can-eat environment, the team needed technology that could support frequent guest modifications, fast table turns, and multi-location oversight.

When they decided to move away from another POS provider, they looked for a POS built specifically for restaurants, one that could support day-to-day operations while accommodating future growth. Toast became their chosen platform.

Setting five locations up for success

Transitioning to a new POS across multiple restaurants requires coordination and support.

Toast worked alongside Kingdom Sushi to help five locations go live within a short timeframe. Installations were completed in succession, teams were trained onsite, and support was available during service to help staff become comfortable with the system.

This onboarding approach helped employees adapt quickly and remain focused on guest service during the transition.

Fast service with Toast Go® 2 handhelds

In a fast-paced sushi environment, speed and accuracy are important.

With Toast Go 2 handhelds, servers take orders directly at the table, make modifications on the spot, and send them straight to the kitchen, sushi bar, or bar. This reduces extra steps and supports accurate orders, helping service run more smoothly, even when guests request substitutions.

“Using Toast Go® 2 handhelds allows our team to take orders directly at the table, add modifications on the spot, and send them straight to the kitchen. That helps us move fast and keep service running smoothly.”

Centralizing online and third-party delivery

Kingdom Sushi also serves guests through online and delivery channels.

Toast Online Ordering allows customers to place orders directly through the restaurant’s website. Third-party delivery orders can also be managed within Toast and sent to the kitchen, reducing the need to manually re-enter orders from separate devices.

By managing dine-in, online, and delivery orders within one system, the team maintains operational consistency across channels and locations.

Standardizing operations to support expansion

As the brand expanded from one location to seven, consistency became increasingly important.

With Toast’s multi-location capabilities, Kingdom Sushi can replicate menus and workflows across new locations rather than rebuilding them from scratch. This helps streamline setup and supports a consistent guest experience.

With additional restaurants planned, Kingdom Sushi continues to expand, using Toast to extend established systems across locations while allowing leadership to focus more time on guests and business operations.
